http://4runners.org/writeups/satoshi/index.html OK I GOT THE GRILLE MESH FROM EBAY, now, WHAT Emblem should i use???? 4Runner, Hilux surf, Surf, TRD (Like Matix & Tundra) Lexus, scion, or what?????? i wnt to ear all your ideas of what YOU think is good looking on a second gen 4Runner.

the grilles on the 2nd gen are very similar, theres nothing stopping you at all.
just follow it as the tutorial is.

if itis possible why has it not been done, or at least posted? for2nd gen 4Runners? or has any other vehicles had this mod done? LETS SEE THE PICS if so! and gun slinger, it looks good, if hadn't made up my mind (and orderd all the pars fom eBay) i would probably do something like that

Look at your Avatar, it is a straight frontal shot. May I suggest if you have photoshop, do a simulation with all the different emblems on that photo and see which one you like best.

i would if i had Photoshop, but i dont, i am swinging towards Scion or Lexus emblem, or Hilux Surf or 4Runner. What do you think i should do?

i thought about doing a lexus conversion, also... figured a '97 GX340 would sale for more than a '4runner sr5

it would, it would look alot better than SR5 but what my plans are to have a Lexus or Scion Hilux Surf SSR-G make it very unique, but i am having some real problems finding SSR-G emblems, so it might be SSR-X or Scion bB from japan. Wha do you think i should do?

well i personally hate it when people badge there vehicle's something they arent, (i.e. in this case badging your toyota 4runner a "lexus" {why would you even contemplate scion????} or a hilux surf will simply make you look like an idiot to other people that know anything about vehicles. atleast that is how i view those people. i would stick with an offset toyota emblem

well, that was unexpected! to retaliate let me tell you, a Lexus is a toyota, they are the same platform, body design etc, And a hilux surf can be a very hard to distinguish between a 4Runner, i would know, i live where there are LOTS of both, and scion, i thought i would spice things up, might be a unique idea, and FYI those offset TOYOTA emblems are a REAL PAIN IN THE A$$ to get a hold of when you have a limited budget. $70us is WAY to much for an emblem, maybe $20 shipped then i would use the offset TOYOTA, but when i can only get my hands on what i mentioned, im stuck with those options. and whats wrong with Scion, its still TOYOTA, just a neat logo. well anyway, i have orderd the Scion badge and a Blue Toyota badge and a Lexus(so i have a choice between the Lexus and Scion when im ready to put them on.), along with Hilux Surf SSR-G 3.0L turbo D so there will be a lot of emblem removing in a few months whe i go back to Canada to pic them up from my house there. No offence though, i kindaasked for it when i said i want your opinion! lol every vehicle is UNIQUE, mine is just a little more unique then the next 4Runner/Surf, i have even gone ahead and orderd Recaro front seats to imitate the REAL Surf SSR-G, but i want to hear every ones ideas, so lets hear them

alright, first off you took it the wrong way... when i said " i personally hate" that means it was MY opinion, and can be taken into account or completly disregarded.

trust me, i understand that a lexus IS a toyota, i also understand that a hilux surf is just an oversea's version of the 4runner. but you have a 4runner correct? i dont know how belize is, but are there no junk yards around? how about junk yards on the internet? i agree that 70$ is way too much for an emblem and that no one should pay that much for a little toyota badge. i also undertand that scion is a toyota, but it doesnt change that scion is its own "brand" of cheap disposable vehicles, so why would you want to appear to be one? its obviously your vehicle so i dont care what you do to it, it wont hurt me at all. if you like it go for it, just for the love of god please dont put a TYPE-R badge on it, for that i might have to travel to belize and save your 4runner from you
