Sad story, Warning Graphic Pic!!

Hey All,

Here's a sad story about a fellow 4runner'er, the pic might bring a tear to your eye!

That's one sad looking guy..... To bad some people aren't willing to work for the things they need, rather than stealing from those who do! What a piss off.

Wow... that really sucks.. I have no idea what i would do if I woke up one morning and found my truck vandelized or even worse.. STOLEN Hope everything turns out alright for him.

Bummer... but...

Mr. Steward pegged the loss at about $22,000. The Toyota wasn't insured.
There are gajillions of reasons to carry insurance on your rig - this is one of them.

i actually keep meaning to buy 'the club' or whatever. but i feel like id be too lazy to put it on and take it off every day.

yeah ive been there before. my car got stolen, my first car that my dad and i built together. lots of sentimental value lost. but then i got to buy my 4runner so....

I feel bad for the guy and all but a loss of $22,000 for a first gen? That doesn't sound right. He must have had about $17,000 worth of personal items in it when it was stolen.

They did say his mountain bikes and a laptop etc. were also stolen. Not to mention this is Canadian money so thats approx. $16,500 US. Not hard to believe for full replacement value considering good MTB's cost at least a few grand each.

Ahh, I guess I should have read the entire article. That still seems like a lot of money. I go MTbing several times a week at the local national forest and every time I get back to my truck I am worried that it has been broken into. I guess it can happen anywhere though.

OMG! That picture is heart wrenching! I won't be able to sleep.No really, I have doubts about the sanity of anyone with a strong emotional attachment to something inanimate as a 4Runner. (but that is normally 'fixed' with age)

thats actually on the blooper reel of the show "Over Hauled"....

its ashame people would steal his vehicle in the first place....and people call me crazy for putting dozen of remote activated explosive devices throughout my truck....
