S.C Taco exceleration problem
Hi
3.4 S.C. headers exhaust ,warbro pump, 7th inj ,160deg tstat,trd air filter,elbow removed.
I am not pulling codes or showing a problem on my scan tool..
under med 1/2 pedal exceleration the truck is not pulling it is like the ecu is giving timing(fuel) then taking it away.. If I leave my foot in the same position after 2-3 sec it will smooth out to a nice acceleration..
gas milage is still good.If I dump some 104 in the tank it does get better. I am using 92-93 fuel Amaco or cheveron only.I cleaned the air flow sensor and the throttle body it did seam to help some. the O2 was replaced about 2 months ago.
when I put it to the floor it goes pretty good but I felt it pull better in the past.. I never reset the ecm after the O2 was replaced or the maf/tb was cleaned...I figured that the ecm can figure it out.
not sure where to go from here since there are no codes.....

x3 on resetting the ECU, sometimes it will screw stuff up. Do you have a way to measure your AFR? I have had my ECU go way lean on me, and resetting the ECU fixed the problem... I need to fine tune my fuel maps more.

You can just pull the pos. battery cable off for a minute or two. The fuse I pull is under the hood, labeled EFI. It's a 15amper.

My supercharged 4Runner did what you described when the clutch was going out.The slipping started in 4th and worked its way to 2nd. I only got 5k miles from a brand new OEM . I've since put a stage 3+ spec clutch on it maybe this clutch will last longer.
Good advice on resetting the ECU though hopefully that will solve your issue's.
