Running Smaller Tires

This may be a stupid question, but I recently acquired a set of almost new 245 75 16's on 2010 tacoma factory rims that could potentially go on my 2001 tacoma quad cab 4x4, but they are smaller than the stock size 265 75 16, will this cause any issues?

Thanks

nope, your speedo will be a tad fast. Say your speedo says 65, your gonna be going like 63-64 really.

You'll accelerate slightly quicker and brake slightly better due to lower weight and smaller diameter, but speedo and odometer will be slightly less than what is read.

I am with 22R-to-5VZFE & crolison... bigger makes the speedo say less than actual and smaller would be faster than actual... however 245 vs. 265 is not so bad... If you do not already understand what all three numbers mean 245 or 265 is in reference to the width and the 75 is the percentage of the width that they make the wall so your wall is actually 3/4 of the size as the width... if you said some thing like 245-60-16 then I would see a larger issue.... and the only difference you will see is a slight decrease in mileage due to your tires turning faster to go the same speed.. you will have a little more power though........

they are very close but not exactly the same hight less than an inch is definite but 75% of 245 is less than 75% of 265 183.75 vs. 198.75 so yeah like 5 cm difference not enough to really notice and really would only make like .24mph difference if that!!!
