ruling out motor swap
I have decided to either swap my dead 3vze to a 5vzfe or rebuilt my stock motor. Some are saying I need a lift for the swap and some are saying not. If I do need a lift, how much? And is there anything else I would need to change.

I wonder if it's just a matter of finding enough clearance under the hood for the newer engine. If so, why not just go with a fiberglass hood? Give your 'Runner some more flare...
I'm not a big fan of body-lifts...

Heres some reading material if you haven't seen it already
Supra Swap
Supercharged 3.4 in a 1st Gen
This subject comes up a lot. I got these both from the search function here on Yotatech. It can yield alot of info on past subjects. Good luck with your swap.
