routine maintenence

ive read on here that the 60 k maintence is little stuff. then i find out toyota recomends replacing the timing belt every 60k.
is it an interference style motor?
if so, shouldnt toyota's advice be taken??
fwiw, ive got a sticker in my engine bay that says the belt was replaced at 63k.. now ive got almost 120 on the clock.. :-/

your 4runner can blow a belt with no engine damage

yes toyota recommended mainenance intervals should be followed.

if not, stretch it to 80,000/160,000 but I wouldn't go past that.

the 60/120 maint is a lot more than belts

it is all fluids, injectors, plugs, re-torque and lube propellor, and other jazz
