Rough idle/Idler screw?

Rough idle/Idler screw?
Hi
I searched for this, but didn't really find a whole lot. I am having trouble with a rough idle on my 3fze, and am not really sure what I can be doing to fix this problem. I just recently changed the oil, and the filter, that didn't seem to solve anything. At a warm idle its around 800-850rpm, does that seem low? If so, can someone tell me where the idler screw is to adjust that? I can find it in a second on a carb, but have no clue on an efi engine.
Any imput would be appreciated, thanks.

idle is right at where its supposed to be. rough idle could be a number of things. i'd go with a tune up if ya haven't already done that. maybe a new fuel filter too. i'd go with a can of seafoam treatment before the tune up so you will have brand new plugs after the seafoam. the idle screw is right on the front at the top of the throttle body. but you are right on the mark for idle...

If I remember I will take a pic of mine tonight and post tomorrow... I had the same problem and haven't cleaned the TB yet but it is on my list of things to get done... In the mean time I adjusted my idle up just a little bit and it seems to have temporarily fixed the problem...

my biggest part of my rough idle was a way stretched timing belt and bad idler. no matter what i did to it it was a temp fix until the next aggravating day of running like crap.

I have a brand new timing belt (only 3k miles on it) and I don't know if my idler is bad or not... Mine only idles bad when in Drive, when in park it is nice and quiet. I just bought some seafoam yesterday and I am planning to run some of that through...

Do the seafoam....check the pcv valve...check the vacuum lines....check plug gap...and if all else fails...get injectors cleaned. You would know if your idler was bad because mine sounded like bad bearings rolling around.

erg stuck open a bit?
egr valve stuck open a little? check egr function and check the modulator too. (that 2 inch plastic flying saucer on the right front top of the engine with a few vac. lines stuck in it.)
actually, go with the throttle body cleaning first. That is probably all it needs.
