Hi guys!

I have searched the Forums but can't find the exact info I am looking for. I have a 1999 4Runner SR5 V6. I am trying to replace the front Rotors due to some mild warpage. I can't seem to get them off, and am not sure how to do it. Are they the "fall off" kind, or are they like the 96s where I have to remove the whole hub?

Any ideas?

btw, I am going to be selling it asap if anyone may be interested. I will post a message about that later.

Yeah they are the pop off type. Once you removed the caliper the rotor should come off. If it doesn't come right off, persuade it a little bit with a hammer and that should knock the rust loose that's probably holding it.

I guess I should have stated that I did remove the Calipers already!

I have been persuading them with a rubber mallet quite a bit. I also squirted them a lot with WD-40 behind them where they mount. Still no joy.

I wanted to check with you fellas to make sure they come off before I REALLY start to put the muscle down on them and end up breaking something ya know?

I had to use PB blaster and a sledge hammer to get mine off...

96's were also fall off style. 95 4Runners were bolted to the hub assembly.
