Getting some vibration from the brakes. Figure I need my rotors scraped, but after a $90 quote from stealership, figure I would check around for new rotor prices. Did a bit of shopping and found decent prices, but dont want something thats going to warp in 5000 miles. Any suggestions.

lce engineering has then for approx $45 each
drilled and slotted, if I remember correctly

I would not recommend slotted or drilled == stick with the blanks

Plain old brembo blanks work fine and always have done it for me.

All of that cryo treating and cross drilling and slotting is crap, NASCAR drivers use plain old blanks-made by none other than brembo.

I went with Brembo blanks too....like 'em so far though it's only been a couple thousand miles.

Hmm, I am thinking I was going to have to get my rotors cut and some new pads, but after reading this thread I am having second thoughts. Is replacing rotors + pads a difficult job? Is there a writeup for this job anywhere? What pads are recche brembo rotors (97 3.4L)?

I dont know if runners are as difficult but for the difficulty and time with my T100 with hubs it isnt worth it to do myself. I am having my mechanic replace my rotors/brakes friday with me supplying the parts.

I chose brembo blanks, as I already explaiend tried and proven and they are on my vette that pulls over 160nph and it stops well.

For brakes I checked out on tirerack what everyone is using and chose based on the reviews-the Hawk LTS pads.

I ordered both from tirerack and it cost me about 185 with tax and shipping.

The job I hear is fairly easy,
I just have to order the Pads and Rotors
Blank Brembos are just fine I hear from mostly everyone.
Pads, thats a good question, anyone?
