Rock sliders used as step ups?

I took off my running boards a coupls of months ago and im wanting to get some rock sliders but since its my DD and only sees limited offroading, i was thinking about trying to angle the rock sliders downward to be used as step ups to imitate the dominator II for the FJ cruiser and tacomas.

I have been looking for an image of some sliders angled to where i might put them and so i borrowed this pic from Kregg. Hope u dont mind dude... If u guys dont like it then ill just put them on flat and use it that way.

So everyone plz tell me wat u think bc im not a fan of the running boards and nerf bars but need something for my gf and other ppl to use to get in the runner easier.

Angle them normally and put some grip tape on them - not only does that look a little silly but it also cuts your clearance on the side a lot.

angle them normally and weld some chain on it as a step hoop then weld the botom 5 links together to make a solid flat step, it will give you a step and will fold up off road so you dont get hung up.

angle them the way they are meant to be angled. You will bash them to hell otherwise. I've contemplated this decision as well and have found either 1) I don't do anything and let other people get over it 2) I custom fab something from scratch or 3) I thought about getting those N-Fab Steps and fabbing them to be able to be easily mountable/removable.
I never used my running boards cus I'm use to jumping up in my old jeep I sold, but other people (girls, parents, etc etc) like steps. Let us know what ya do.
