I have seen some 1st gens with rhino lined rocker panels on Ebay. I really like the idea of that. I have seen an Xterra in town that is totally rhino lined in green. For some reason the tailgate look like it was rusting through the lining which seems weird.

What color were you thinking of going with?

well i had planned on black, never occured to me it comes in other colors. The truck is currently blue, so maybe thats the right color? It seems like black is the best color to me, part of the reason for painting it like that is for it to both be rugged, and look rugged.

I want to go with black rocker panels on mine some day. If I were you, I'd go check out LineX too. I stopped in and got some questioned answered at the place in my town. The owner brought up an important thing to think up when it comes to bed liners. They are dense, so they add a considerable amout of weight. He said Rhino was 90-110 addition lbs. LineX came in at 60 or something, and thats just for truck beds. I don't gain anything for saying good things about LineX, and I haven't used them, but they are sprayed on hot 180 degrees I think, and Rhino isn't. Either way, I would go check out all their colors since your rig is blue right now. You might find some shade of blue you love.

I friend of mine had his Scout II rhinolined in bright yellow. It looked awesome!
Then I found out he had done it about 3 years previous. He is an avid rock crawler and took it hunting and it looked great even after all that abuse.
I would like to do mine, but it will be a while.
If oyu do it, post some pics!

I heard a rumor that moisture can get in under the Rhino Lining material and just sit there. Then the rust sets in. I believe it. Go Line-X!
