Does anybody know what year these rims are?


And what is the approximate value? They have Dunlop Grandtrek AT21, 265x70xR16, with about 26k on them.

Also, do these rims fall into the 3rd gen VIBRATION problem/issue?

I have a 97 4runner, stock rims with that pesky vibration issue. I was thinking of just replacing my stock rims with the ones above if it would actually solve the wheel balance vibration issue that it talked about at http://www.gadgetonline.com/Vibration.htm

Those rims came on the 01 and up Tacoma and Tundra. Not sure if they have any vibration issues, hadn't heard of any at least. They usually sell between $400 and $600 on ebay with tires depending on condition.

You might want to doublecheck on that information.
I've seen those wheels/tires go for less than $300 (not including shipping) if they go at all. The last time I had a set I took them to an auto scrapyard that specialized in Toyota and got about $200 for the 4.

As for the vibration issue. I recently went from BFG muds to ATs and have felt a WORLD of difference between the 2 so I can't comment on whether or not there is a vibration issue (still in shock over the lack of as much vibration) but as far as I can tell - yes, these are still the same wheels where you're better off getting balanced with the type of machine Gadget mentions (Haweka, was it?).

I have those Tacoma wheels on my 4Runner and I have no vibration issues that I'm aware of other than my MT tires. I paid way less than $300 for my set of 4.

I had them on my 4runner, no vibration issues. I sold them for $250 w/o tires, but they sometimes sell for less than $200.

The main "VIBRATION problem/issue" is with balancing the Toyota *lug* centric wheels on a machine set up for *hub* centric wheels. If using the proper balancing method doesn't solve your vibration issues, then you need to make sure that your wheels are not bent or out of round. If so, then you should look for new wheels.

Your vibration may go away if you buy those wheels, but it may be because they are properly balanced...

I don't know of any OEM Toyota rims that cause vibrations...

I had a really tough time finding a highway-speed vib in my 4runner and it turned out to be a bad tire. The thing was, there was no visible flaw with the tire. I went to the dealer, where they ran a 'Force Balance' on my tires and one was way out of spec (Michelin LTX). Replaced that one tire and never had another problem.

Those wheels are probably OK. I wil never run Dunlops again on any vehicle I own though. I have a 97 Tacoma. The previous owner put new Dunlops on it just before I bought it. The vibration on the highway was awful. I had the tires balanced three times-all on the Hunter machine with no success. I finally replaced the tires and have been happy ever since.
