Rims!!
I was wanting to Buy new chrome rims. I was wondering if anyone can give me a recommendation. I have a 2001 3rd gen sport. I was thinkin 18's or 20's. I am a bit concerned about getting bad rims that could vibrate due to a bad fit. What do you think? any brands in particular? Sizes?

So,I take it you don't off road much but if you're 4wd then avoid anything over 17 inch unless it's the "bling" you want.
Sorry but big wheels on a 4wd is just dumb IMO and definetly is starting to be played out, spend your money on functional mods.

I wouldn't go anything over 18's. The 3rd gen body doesn't look right with anything bigger. It's too skinny for anything over 20. To me it's like an explorer with 20's+ and it just doesn't look right.
Be it an escalade or navigator (wide and beefy), for sure 20's and up.
I'm running 16x8's which I think is the best of both worlds for me. I just wanted mine to still look beefy, yet flow.

Get you a set of Boss ( by American Eagle ) Series 301 w/ Superfinish. These look good and you won't have to worry about them peeling like chrome wheels. They are perfect for someone with a budget. The warranty is fantastic- I know because I used to work for them. They come in both 20 and 22s. I have a set on my 03 dcab

Vato, what are those tires you have on your web site? Are those stock size tires, or are they larger?

antera 301
hey i've got 20's wrapped in pirelli's....i've wanted to get 22's now or either lower my 4runner. Not sure on what to do, but i would go with 20's if yo'ure budget is under 2k....and you can get any chevy rims that are 6 lug, you just have to take them to a machine shop and have the center bore drilled out to 108mm and a depth of 3 inches. I used wheel spacers as well so i wouldn't have to drill further into the wheel and possibly mess up the structural integrity of the wheel....

Why do you need a depth of 3". When I was out measuring it looked like i only needed about 1/2 and in to make the wheel flush like its supposed to be. What did they charge you to drill them out as well?

it might have been a little shorter than 3" can't remember, they did it over a year ago, i'd have to take off one of my rims and measure it to be exact. but i used wheel spacers so i would have to drill out less of the rim. they charged me $250 for all four wheels.
