Revtek Installed (low quality pis inside) NEW PICS
I finally installed my Revtek kit today. Thanks to a friend of mine with the use of his tools and shop the install went pretty smooth. I do have a few questions however. What is the backspacing on the stock 97 SR5 wheels? I ask this question because my tire is extremey close to my upper A arm. I am running 285/75/16 BFG AT. My next mod will be some better looking wheels so I want to be sure they don't make my tires rub the A arm due to the wrong backspacing. Second question, after Revtek install is it normal to have camber or toe issues? My tires go out at the top and in at the bottom. Is this something a four wheel alignment will take care of? I have one pic but it was almost dark when we got finished with the install. I will get some better ones tomorrow but here is what I have let me know what you think.

Looks much better from what I can see inthe after pic
I think the stock BS on the factory 16x7 rims is 4.5" which is why you are so close to rubbing on the a arms.
Getting a full alignment should fix the "tipping" of the wheels/tires. This happens when you do any suspension lift whether it be a spacer lift like you did or adjustable coil overs. No big deal. At 2.5" of lift on both my Taco and my Runner the shop had no problem getting it back into specs. However at 3" I have heard it is more difficult.
I could be wrong but I am pretty sure we only need front alignments as our rear axles are "fixed" position and not adjustable.
Post up some better pics when you can!

My 96 alloys were 4.75" backspacing. 4.25 was a good amount for me for quite a while, even when I went to 315's.
I have sonoran steel shaved upper a-arms for sale if you think you will need them.

Wow, she's all shiny. Are you rubbing at all w/ the 285's? If not, is all you have the Revtek kit or do you have a BL as well?
I really like the OEM limited wheels but if you search, there was someone that couldn't get this wheel on w/ 285's and needed to swap out to LC wheels w/ the proper backspacing. If you're already running the stock 16" wheels and you're not rubbing the a-arms, you should probably be OK w/ the limited wheels...

No rubbing at all with the 285's however my tires are very close to the upper A arm thats why I have to be extremely careful with backspacing on new wheels. By the way no BL just Revtek. Thanks

in regards to the wheels i think those look right at home on your rig with the lift and tires. those sr5 wheels sometimes look odd, but in my opinion i think they fit it well.

Thanks guys I really appreciate the compliments on my rig. Thanks alot. It is a work in progress.
Thanks Godzilla I like my wheels too but I would like something different I think but I am in no hurry. Next mod will be finishing my sound system. The mod list is coming along pretty well considering I bought it bone stock in March 06.

Awesome rig hlpressley! I thought about the Revetk kit, but went for the Daystar setup instead...mostly because of cost. I'm pretty close to a decision on Land Cruiser coils in the rear, which should give me another inch or so over the Daystars.

After lift 1... (265/70 R16's)

For me those wheels are a little "busy", your 'runner still has really clean lines so I would go for a simpler/classier look. But so you know where I'm coming from, I still think that the best looking wheels for our body style are the factory five spokes. Thats what I put on mine w/ all terrains for daily driving and my stock wheels w/mud terrains for camping or off-roading,Steve

I really liked mine. I would still have them if they worked with the 285's. Needed a 16x8 and offset help. Some do run 285's on the stock rims.
For 265/75's they are an awsome rim.
