restoring my limited 5spokes

I know that lots of people have talked about reclearing their wheels. Well i got a set of limited wheels to get ready for my new tires to mount on. So, i started with the worst one and used the paint stripper in a can. I didn't realize that these wheels were painted! it took the whole can for one wheel and everything but the outer edge is rough cast aluminum. So, looks like i have to repaint them and clear them just like a car body. Havent seen anyone that has repainted factory limited wheels to their original condition so i was hoping somebody knew of what paint color is the closest. Do i have to prime them, it didn't apear that there was any primer on them from the factory.

fireteacher, my specific questions was if anyone has found the factory color or a very similiar one. I don't care about painting them black.

You can paint them but by far the best option would be to have them sand blasted and powercoated. It costs alot more than paint but if you're going to hold onto the truck for any period of time, you'll be very thankful you went that route......paint won't last very long at all before you'll have chips not long after. Trust me, PC them!

Give Jeramy a PM, he does great work and can match almost anything!

I second Jamie's post..... Many of the members on here can vouch for the great work Jeremy does, plus he has such an array of colors that he could probably powdercoat them and get them to the same color as stock
