Reporting Problems to Toyota

Hey everyone; I'm new to this posting thing, but I've turned to YotaTech for advice so now I want to give back alittle.

I have an 00 4runner that currently has a stuck bell crank (part of the E Brake assembly). Apparently it is common to see this part rust/corrode on Toyota's due to the use of two different metals.

I called the "Customer Experience Center" and was told that while it is not a reported problem, that if people continue to call it in and report it, a bulletin may be issued; allowing all who have had this problem be reimbursed the cost of repair and all who may experience it, to recieve aid in repairing it.

My truck also experienced the break in the radiator, causing all coolant to flow into, and destroy, the tranny. I agree with the pained drivers who also experienced this, that with the fault occuring within the radiator and the speed at which the coolant goes into the tranny it is often too late to avoid such damage.

Again, if we all call in to Toyota, maybe we can get aid/reimburstment for these repairs.
