Replacing Valve cover gaskets 3rd gen 4runner 3.4L
Anyone done this job yet? I posted a few days ago in the general section but didn't get much feedback.

I don't think they leak very often so I will be surprised to see many responses from those who have done this.....maybe other than those who perhaps did them when they installed a S/C or installed a low mile used motor.
....what exactly is your quesetion? how to do it?

Mine are leaking at 151k. The reason I'm posting is to get a feel of how difficult the job is and to decide if I want tackle it myself.
I've found from posting here that sometimes all I need to know is that other board members are capable of doing something and that gives me the confidence to take a stab at it.

Besides, I just got a repair manual and a torque wrench as gifts. Now I have to try it.
