Replacing Factory Firewall Grommet
Has anyone replaced the large grommet that is located above the driver's side foot rest? The one that the hood release cable and misc. wires go through? I've really mangled the one I have up by running various light and audio stuff through it. I know I could use silicone to repair it, but if it wasn't too much trouble pulling some of that factory wiring through a new grommet I'd prefer to do that. Does anyone know if that group of wires unplug somewhere in that location?
I plan on working on this after work, so any help would be much appreciated!

To find out if you can actually order one your best bet will probably be to speak to your Yota dealer... or two... (I usually have to ask a few dealers to get the right answer)
I was told the large grommets that the wire loom runs through are sold as part of the loom assembly. I actually had the entire interior wiring loom removed so I could see that it was impossible to remove the grommet anyway.
If there are separate grommets for throttle cable or hood release you may be able to buy those.
Otherwise, hijack one of a vehicle at a wrecker (fair enough, they don't like people hacking their looms to pieces) or repair yours with some high quality black silicone like Sikaflex.
