Replacing Clutch While Replacing Engine

Hello,
240k mile motor developed a rod knock. Buying a JDM motor to replace it. Still have original clutch. Obviously, will replace that at the same time. Will I need to remove tranny to replace the clutch, if the motor is removed? Or do you only need to remove the tranny for a clutch replacement if the motor is in place?
Also, any tips on what clutch to buy? Toyota OEM? I am not a serious off-road guy. Just need 4WD to get to the river to go fishing.
Thanks!

The clutch bolts to the back of the motor, on the flywheel. So just bolt the clutch to the new motor and install it. No need to remove the tranny.

That's what I thought. Thanks, Eric.
Any thoughts on what replacement clutch to buy?
