Replacing clips on inner CV spindle necessary?

Hey, is it necessary or a good idea to replace the c clips on the inner CV-spindle when you pull them out? I swapped a differential housing and reused the clips. Now it feels like the spindles are a little "loose" inside the housing. It may have been like that before but I feel like I notice it more now. I better check the oil level too even though I have not seen any leaks....

you referring to the one on the joint itself? or on the end of the axleshaft where the splined ends go into the diff? i reused the end ones in the shaft splines, and used a new c clip that came with my boot replacement kit from the stealer. reusing it shouldnt be a problem though...

Yeah, I was talking about the one on the end of the spindle where the splines are. Thanks for the reply. I wonder if something inside the diff housing is worn...
