Replacing 1999 5VZ-FE Mass Air Flow Sensor - Denso or is aftermarket ok?

Looks like I'm going to need to replace my MAF - I've tested it and it appears to be bad. I'm hoping this will eliminate my idling issue on my 5VZ-FE 4runner. What route should I go to replace it (I'm on a tight budget)? Try to find a used one in a junk yard, buy a denso brand replacement, or buy a cheaper non-denso replacement?

Please recommend a place to pick up the part if you've bought one somewhere. Thanks.

I'm selling mine. Was in PERFECT working order off my 96. Never cleaned it with any of that MAF cleaner junk. PM me with an offer.

Midget, please let me think about that. I'm leaning towards picking up a remanufactured one (maybe a cardone) up from a parts store so that I'll have the 1 yr warranty on it.

stay away from aftermarket on computer controlled/electronics the work with the ecu. I'm not sure if the cut off was in 99 or 2000 but there was a difference in them. So i'm not sure the 96 would work for you.

I'm currently looking for one as well I'd stay away from anything but oem, just check salvage yards and sooner or later you'll find one in person or online that will ship. Good luck!
