Removing TRD Stickers??

How do you get those buggers off? Mine are beat up a little and I want to take them off. I'm talking about the large ones near the rear wheel wells.

Also...do you guys think I should put new stickers back on or leave it bare?

I'm thinking that I want my truck to look cleaner, with no TRD stickers.

Thoughts?

When we get new vans at work they are used and usually have lettering. Take some brake clean and a rag and spray the rag and go over it. Takes them right off.

CJM,
So you rub brake cleaner right on top of the sticker? Will this mess up my paint?

Pretty much. So far it hasnt done any damage to our trucks. I even used carb cleaner but its a work truck so it dont matter if we use that. Brake clean wont eat paint.

Just make sure you wash the truck afterwards, removes all residue.

I have taken a few different decals off and a hair dryer works well. Get the sticker hot and start peeling a spot with your finger nail or a razor blade then start pulling once you can get a hold of it. go slow and just keep the hair dryer ahead of where you are pulling. it heats the glue enough everything comes right off. I have never bubbled the paint and I've gotten it pretty hot to the touch. Hot water will work too. Oh and I think I would keep the stickers off if it was my rig.

I wouldn't do it. You will lose at least 10hp without TRD stickers.

J/K

I used a stuff called goo gone on my friends taco. That with a heat gun and some patience.

Heat them up and work slowly to peel them off.
Remove any residual adhesive with 3M Adhesive Remover.
Polish the area and rewax.

I had a deep scratch right through the middle of one of my TRD stickers, so I used the heat gun and razor blade method to get it off. A little bit of goof-off took all the sticker residue right off.

Then I checked the dealership for a new one. With my buddies account discount, the stickers are over $50 each! Does anyone else sell these things for a more reasonable price?

There is a guy on this board that produces and sells TRD stickers. Do a search for Yotatech sticker and you will find him.

Becareful when using the razor blade. You could accidentally dig into the paint itself. Ask me how I know.

Well I got them off! I used some hot water to get the decal off and then Goo Gone to get the rest of the residue off of the truck.

Thanks!!

You won't be able to go off road or go racing if you remove them.
