Removing Steering knuckle after getting T-Boned
My 1990 4runner was recently T-Boned by a red light runner who now says I ran the red light. Now I have to sue the fool...I only have liability insurance and will try to fix the bent steering knuckle myself.
Here's the question:
Is it neccessary to release tension in the torsion bar before removing the steering knuckle from the control arms?
Can anyone give a quick step by step on the removal of the arm?
I have the general idea from my Haynes manual, but some expert advice would help. The damage is to the right front wheel with extensive damage to the front fender. I would like to get my 4runner on the road soon.
