regear with stock factory locker ?

regear with stock factory locker ?

is it a big deal to regear a truck with a factory locker in it?

Nope. It just takes a different gear set than a factory open diff. You also have to disconnect the plumbing to the locker to remove the third, otherwise it's the same.

and you can get those gear sets in 4.88?

That would be a better question for a gear retailer, but enough people run 4.88 that I am sure you can.

I wasn't aware that the electric locker 8" used a different size gear. Looking over at Zuk's site I never saw that mentioned.

The Tacoma axle with the TRD locker uses a different gear set than the Tacoma axle without the locker.

I see. What you are saying is use 8" gears instead of 8.4. Got it. I read it to mean that they needed some sort of custom 8" gears. Now the real important thing (I think) is use V6 gears and not 4cyl gears and use a solid spacer instead of a crush sleeve.
