Recommend a shop in/near Las Vegas to rebuild my 5VZ-FE

Like the title says..

Anyone know of a trustworthy shop, or an OCD meticulous mechanic with spare time, that could rebuild my 5VZ-FE out of my 99 4x4 4Runner?

She runs fine.. Great actually. Just feels a little tired as the years have gone by. I'm about to throw on a lift, bumpers, 33" tires, and some other crap... And I don't wanna be going any slower. I'm also planning on supercharging her, so I figured I'd get a new engine.

Also, I'd happily travel to Utah, California, or Arizona for the right Shop.

I know of NVT Engines here in Vegas, and LC engineering in Lake Havasu.... But I've heard horror stories about them both.

How many miles on your rig? Your motor shoud go well over 300K without any major issues. Have you done a compression test? That would help tell what you have. If you end up doing a rebuild, make sure the shop installs good quality parts as Toyota used when they built your engine. Good luck.

196k ... I have no issues, other than lack of power. It wasn't always this slow. Yeah I'll go get a compression test on monday, we'll see what happens there. Thanks man.

If the compression test comes back normal, there will be no reason to rebuild the motor as it won't solve your power issue. The lack of power will be from some other issue that will need to be diagnosed and repaired.

If the compression test comes back low, I would have your valve lash checked before taking the motor apart.

Some things that can cause loss of power are, dirty air filter, plugged cat. converter, faulty engine control component............... Check it out first, you very likely have some minor issue causing your loss of power.
