reciever hitch (dumb question)

hey-
I'm going to be towing a trailer this weekend, and I was wondering where the reciever was located on our truck to attach to the hitch. I looked under the rear seats nothing there, and nothing in the rear storage compartment. Or do I have to go out and buy one?

You have to go buy an insert. They have them at Wally World, like $20. I suggest getting a locking pin as well.

Man, toyota stopped supplying those with the stock hitch in the late thirds? My '98 came with it and so did my wife's '03.

No hitch included with my 2000. But I didn't know that they used to come with. That sucks that they stopped!

You want a 2" receiver but you probably need a 2-1/8" ball I think to fit the uhaul stuff.

Thanks for the advice

I know mine's a 3rd but mine was in a cardboard box in the cargo area when I took delivery brand new and then I unboxed it and put it in the cubby hole in the cargo area. now it's in my tool chest at home since I haven't used it ever.

It came in a box sitting in the trunk, and then we just kept it in the rear compartment hatch on the left ( I beleive)

Yup, we had a 91 4Runner, SR5 V6 (dad's car). It was a white one. It was the first car I drove on the streets, although I didn't have a license (I think I was like 14). We sold it in 2001 and got a 2002 tundra. It was just too old, and was costing too much to keep it alive.
