Don't have a '03 but I alway like to see the recalls get posted. Especially the ones that address the possibility your car will catch fire! Man, I heard those 2003's were HOT but I had no idea....

By the way what's a "stratospheric mica"?

Re: recall on 2003

Hmm, I wonder if this could be the thud I've been hearing? The dealer said it was the fuel injectors pulsating. Eh, anyways, off to the dealer I go. Thanks for the heads up!

I believe this Special Service Campaign only applies to V-6 models.

You are correct. After going to the NHTSA website, this is what I found:
NHTSA
Summary:
ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH V6 ENGINES, THE FUEL PULSATION DAMPER, LOCATED ON THE FUEL RAIL, MAY HAVE BEEN IMPROPERLY ASSEMBLED, CAUSING A DIAPHRAGM IN THE PULSATION DAMPER TO BE DAMAGED. IF THE DIAPHRAGM FAILS, FUEL MAY LEAK.
Guess my problem is still just the fuel injector pulsating.

Sucellus,

"Stratospheric Mica" is dark blue to most of us. Kinda like Navy Blue.
