I rolled down my right rear passenger window, and now it wont go back up. Help me out here please, I checked all the fuses and don't know where else to go about it.

If all the fuses work, check the switches for your windows (master driver and passenger rear). If those seem to be fine, you need a new window regulator.

Pull of the panel over the rear door and check to make sure you are getting 12V to your motor, and check your ground as well. Make sure nothing is obstructing the window either. If your getting good power and ground, I'd say your motor is shot.

Thanks for all the input, I think the motor is shot, and I just retardedy broke the glass also. Stupid hurried and really mad me.

i am not sure if the 4Runner is like this, but most cars i worked on, if the master switch is bad, usually the other switch won't work either.

I am saying I have seen a master switch go bad and then even the seitch on the other door may not work. example: front passenger window doesn't work. If the master switch is bad the switch on the passenger door may not work either.

Thanks for the help, but I called the shop to replace the glass. First time ever in my life had I ever done that, and I have rebuilt 2 Jeep 4.0's. But they quoted me 160 with the install, and I'll ask them to crank that window alll the way up and disconnect the motor, because I don't feel like paying 100 bucks for a new one even though it could be a switch problem.

The rear window/tailgate on my 99 runner seems to be a funnel trap for dirt dust and moisture. Yes the rubbers are o.k.
what I found to be a factory problem is the little plastic foam filled filters found on the underside of the tailgate.
If you drive trails or offroad, these will clog early and then any moisture ,dirt and dust will just cake up and sit..............and yes on all your tailgate locking and window mechanisms. Moisture isn't bad as long as it has some way to escape and dry out.......... especially you coastal guys because the rusty stuff and corrosion is next!

The big culprit is the fine silt dust and dirt that cakes hard.
After removing the filters , the tailgate has a few 1/2 inch holes to drain moisture and a shot with a hose down the rubber at the window will loosen and flush out all the crap in your tailgate.
My first flush was a dooooooozy.

I've searched and can't figure it out. Does my 2000 Toyota 4runner 4x4 have a cabin filter. It seems that's the culprit, but where is it located and how hard is it to swap?
