Rear Window Motor/Regulator replacement
To anyone who has problems with their rear window working, getting stuck, etc.
Replacing both the regulator (mechanism) AND the motor have cured an ongoing problem I've had for some time. The last time (2) I've taken it to the dealer, they only replaced the motor. The mechanism was so rusty, corroded and gunked up that it's a miracle it worked at all. Upon examining the old motor, it appeared that all of the teeth were gone from the drive gear and even some teeth were missing on the mechanism.
Sorry, no pics, but I can probably reconstruct if anyone is interested. I can pull the rear window in my sleep now. I was too pissed since I had to replace a water heater immediately before tackling the window.
