Rear Window Motor

I need to replace the wiper or lift motor to the rear window. I am told by the dealer that "fixing it" requires over $400. The window lowers about 1/8" then stops. It apparently hits a small part next to the wiper motor inside the rear panel.

Does anyone have a similar experience and hopefully a simple solution?

I was considering the option of taking the parts off a wrecked unit. If I'm going to invest more money in my 4Runner I want it to be an improvement or a "necessary" repair. I'm a believer in bang for my buck!
