rear speakers and lights dont work

on my 88 4runner my rear 2 speakers dont work. they didnt work when i had my 87 either. also the 2 little lights dont work. didnt on my 87 either. whats up with this?

what else would you like to know? speakers dont work, wheres the fuse for them?

Speakers don't usually have a separate fuse. Power protection is usually either built into whatever is driving the speakers (amp, head unit). But usually with a stock system it's an all or nothing affair - all your speakers work or they don't. Judging from the age of the truck, I'd say that they're probably blown - have you taken panels off and looked at them?

The first thing to do would be to actually look at the speakers. Make sure they're still connected, they look whole, etc. Then use an ohm meter to measure resistance between the output at the head unit/amp and the connector for the speaker. If you have infinite resistance, your wire is cut somewhere.

That's what I'd do first.
