Does anyone have lights for the rear of your vehicle that you can switch on and off from the cab? Looking to get some.

I do I do. I have the Blazer brand 50 watt driving lights that I mounted on each side of my hitch. I still need to hard wire them to my reverse indicator though.

I have mine mounted on the inside of the cargo area, in the location of the red circles.



It was a fun afternoon project throwing them in.

do a search for auxiliry back up lights or rear light or something like that. I think corey has a writeup in the tech section about his setup... if your ever planning on lifting now would be a good time for a body lift if you have a tow hitch. It leaves a perfect little place to put them if you do it that way... I took a plazma cutter to my bumper and mounted them in my stock bumper, I'm lazy and figured I would be in capable to wire them up myself but it just hasn't been too high on the priority list. Espcially since I cracked one slightly when installing them :pat: This is the best pic I could find that I have uploaded...

scofo do you get blinded in the cab when those lights are on or do you have to lower the rear window?

Thanks for all the info guys. I checked out Coreys write up. They all look good. Is there any detail write up for the wiring aspect for the lights, like a schematic maybe. I am not very good with electical aspects of the truck.

When I back up, I usually hang out the window, or use the side mirrors, so it doesn't affect me much.

If you put down the rear window, you can still look directly behind you fine. I don't often do that because my spare tire usually blocks what I'm trying to see anyways.

They make kick ass cargo lights also Plus they never get dirty, or rusty when they're inside. I love em!
