I just saw a 4runner in the parking lot that has a chrome shroud around the tailgate licence plate, where the keyhole etc is. Mine is black and I was wondering where, other than dealer, I may get one. I want to chrome up the truck as muck as possible using the stock look.

I don't think there is anywhere else you can get it other than the dealer.
I believe that the chrome is just a stick on part. You don't need to buy a whole new shroud.

Dealer or salvage yard. Look for a 2002 w/ chrome package... Plan on over $200 from the dealer.

I think its $130 from the dealer. And when you buy it is your black as in the color of the car or like dark grey. If its black Ill buy your old one

Mine is black not grey, I'll keep you in mind if I get a new one. I don't want to spend 130.00 us= a million canadian, I'll keep looking, thanks for the info though.

BTW..I've looked into all of this, and my local body shop wanted $200 to paint the garnish, $450 for the bumper!!!
