Rear Hatch Probs.
OK, I went backwards threw a 4 foot mud/waterhole and now I can't open my rear hatch. It always had problems opening, I had to push in on the hatch while pulling the lever. Now the damn thing won't budge, gots any tips for me? Also the light in the rea never comes on when I can open the hatch, is it the switch or the locking mechanism? Has anyone rewired the light to open with the front doors?

Test to see if you're getting power to the bulb with the hatch open, would suggest that its a problem with the sensor in the door. If power running to switch, but no light, would suggest that switch has gone bad.
Also look at the bulb and see if its still good (swap with the front).
You'd have to run a wire from the light through the headliner to the switch in the front to get both lights to turn on with the front door being open, probably wouldn't be too bad. You could even use the same three-position switch so that both could be turned on or off independent of the doors being open.
