Rear DIfferential Ring & Pinion Adjustment
My rear end has some serious slop in it. What are my options for getting the Ring and Pinion Adjusted. My book says you need serious experience / tools to perform this operation.
Anyone tried it? Any FAQ's

what do you mean by "slop"?
If you're going to rebuild the third member, you will need some tools:
shop press
torque wrench
bearing seperator
dial indicator (better so you can keep track of your measurements for reference)
micrometer (not absolutely necessary, same as note as dial indicator)
30 mm socket
service manual for specs
and some home made tools
4x4wire.com and offroad.com plus a bunch of other sites have some good write ups on doing this.
Sounds like your backlash may have come loose or crush sleeve has become crushed too much. Or your bearings could be worn among a few other things. There are a limited number of things that could cause it, but it probably won't be cheap
I regeared my truck myself and it was definitely a learning experience.
