Arrow Rear brake light wire shortage?

hmmm well the other day, friend informed me that a brake light was out...so i put in the new light, i hit the brake ligth and it lit up and then went out. couldnt get it to light up again..sooo does this mean i might have a short in the wire or what? everything else, the parking and turn signal both work on that side..any help would be nice.

also! i am trying to sign up for webshots but it keeps saying my email is formatted wrong, any help here as well? Thanks everyone for any help. ~kyle

Sounds like you have a short in the stop light wire. Trace it and look for the short...If you don't want to do that, just run a whole new wire.

Get a test light, ground it and probe the connector for power.
If no power then trace the wire back with the probe to find where it is broken and repair it.

Do you have a trailer hitch and the trailer lights wiring harness? I have read of several people on this forum having the harness short out and cause funky problems with their lights.

Just a thought.
