Man, where did that video crawl out of? That thing has been posted on here like 4 times in the last 24 hours. Yeah it works, been done many times. Also a good way to ruin your tire and/or lose your eyebrows if you don't know what you are doing.

Yeah it works, probably not really a "safe" thing to do though. I've had to do this at work on rare occasions when a the tire truck delivers on a cold morning and I'm having trouble getting the tire to air up on the beads. Just have to be careful of the rims especially on the Cadillacs or the customer will complain royally.

Yeah. We use that if we can find it on our heavy equipment in the army. When you change the tire on a scraper or a 5 yard loader it helps a lot. Usually it's just wd-40 that we have. Just be careful. The main purpose it so it sets the bead. If you have a tire that's 5 feet tall or more just airing it up the bead doesn't always set. It usually works if you blow it up real fast like that. It works real well if you take the valve stem out and fill the tire up then light it.

Huh? Fill the tire up and then set the bead? What is that going to do, maybe putting fresh air in or something? I guess for those of us that air up with CO2 that would be a good idea. To get the CO2 completely out.
