Ready for a CB

I'm ready to take the plunge for a CB. I want to use 1/2 of my double din for it. I've seen some great installs posted here. Only a couple of requirements. It will need to have a front firing speaker and it can be "hot-rodded". I read here that some CB's can be "hot-rodded" with more powerful chips. Can anyone tell me which manufacturers/models can be modified that also have a front firing speaker? Thanks for the help.

Here's a pic of mine....

The install wasn't that bad, however I had to mount mine on top of the CD player because if you mount it below, the CB doesn't have anything to rest on and it wobbles around. The screwholes don't line up, so I just had to wedge the thing in there. It has not moved at all though, and I have been offroad with it many times.
