Rack in my brain

Con-ferr roof rack questions:

1. can this mount directly to the roof top slide rails, aka where the factory cross bars mount, or does it need to be attached to the factory or some other aftermarket cross bar system?

2. where have people ordered these from and for what price? I have called 4wheel parts and they quote for rack, mount, floor, +shipping: $485.00

3. Yes I have searched this site as well as reviewed Con-Ferr's site. Good info, but not enough.

any help out there?

1. Yes the Conferr rack mounts directly to the slide rails. You have to specify the type of vehicle you have to get the correct mounting brackets. Also note that there are two types of mounting brackets. Advise them that you want the low profile type. I ordered another set of mounting brackets and recieved ones that were an 1 1/2 taller than my originals.

2. Local 4x4 shops. I ordered my conferr parts from 4wheel parts.

3. Best thing to do is call them.

I did call con-ferr for the mounting question, they didnot mention the low proflile. do you know if this is same as the RM2 clamp?

The guy that answered was very pushy to close a deal, and they are surprisingly about $100.00 more expensive than 4wheel parts. how does this happen?

I used that same part number when I ordered it from 4wheelparts. Im not sure if they screwed up the order or if I got the wrong part number.
Give me a minute and I'll post a pic of the taller mounting brackets.
