quick wiring question

what is the best way to get wires through the firewall (like for driving lights)? I Know that there is rubber grommetts on the drivers and passangers side but how do I get trough them, I heard you can just poke a hole with a screwdriver then seal it up. Is this the best way??

That's what I did for amp/light wires. Just poke a little hole or slit and slide em through. Seal with some kind of silicone of something.

Use a small screwdriver and make the hole....take an unbent coat hanger make a small loop on one end of it, push it through the hole and use it to pull the wires back though. That is what I do. Then seal up with silicone.

I have been installing professionally for about 8 years in car audio/video/navigation. I always if there is room permitting drill a hole and use a rubber grommit. There is plenty of room on the firewall to the right of the brake booster. however to make it go a little easier you may want to use a right angle drill with a uni bit or what they call a step drill you can buy them at sears for like $15. You can also take the drivers side knee boulster down and remove the air duct and drill to the left of the brake booster. That the route i went. if you have any questions feel free to email me at AirM11@aol.com... I hope this helps you out
