quick Question about Coil packs

94' toyota 4runner (Many a change!) purchased bone stock, NOW... SAS, 39" Iroks, Rear Leafswap, 5.29's , Air locked front, Welded rear, Chevy 4.3L V6, 5spd swap, dual T/C's MC10R10, flatbelly with custom skids, sliders, Chopped, Bobbed and so much more. Might as well start reading this if ya want know more |

anyone? im sure plenty people here have this motor and have changed plugs

I've never looked to see if there is a spring on mine. When I change the plugs I just pull the coil packs out and put them back. Sorry that isn't very helpful though.

if you look up in the boot of the coil there is what looks like a spring. If you have a way to ohm out the coil do it but with the plug inserted into the coil boot (best way to check for a complete circuit all the way to the plug end) I bought my coil (had one go out) for about $70 at autozone.
