Quick question about adjusting rear brakes

Do you pull the parking brake lever all the way up and then check to see if the rotors slightly rub the shoes or do you keep the parking brake off?

If you have stock brakes, then you have drums in the rear. And to adjust your rear brakes, drive in reverse and tap the brakes firmly.
