Quick Maintenance Question?!

I'm coming to the end of some maintenance and have a few questions; (97'Limited 2WD)

1. I know the 3 spark plugs on the passenger side are supposed to be Nippon-denso's, but couldnt find any, so I used NGK BKR5EKB-11 for all 6 plugs. Is there a problem with this?

2. I want to change my rear differential fluid to Mobil 1 synthetic. I think 80w90 is recommended ?, but only could find 75w90 Mobil 1.
Can I use this and be o.k.? Also can anyone confirm its a 24mm socket for drain and fill plugs?

I hate living where I'm at, the auto supply stores suck!

I'm running out of time to finish off my maintenance so a quick answer would be great.

Thanks again.

1.) I believe all 4Runners and Tacos come with different plugs on each side. Noone has yet to get a difinitve Toyota answer. You can only get the one type of plug from the dealer, it's OK. That's what they use.

2.)Is it 80w90 or stright 90. Anyway, most folks use the 75W90 Mobil 1 synthetic. I do. Not sure, but maybe Amsoil has the 80w90 or stright 90.

Without checking, I believe 24mm sounds right. You are probably experienced, but a hint is to loosen the fill plug first. To make sure you can get oil back in.

No problem on the Spark plugs, they are the correct Part #. Did you use plent of anti-seize and torque to the correct value??

75W-90 is just fine all around. I am currently using 75W-90 in the Manual Tranny, front diff, and rear diff. The drain/fill on the rear diff and manual tranny is 24mm. The drain plug on the front diff is a 12mm hex and the fill plug is a 10mm hex.

Best of Luck
Andrew

I wish I was at Benning!
Instead, I'm at this hellhole called Ft Stewart.

I know the old saying: " the worst duty station is where your're at, and the best one is where you just left or getting ready to go to", but I can say without a doubt this is the worst duty station/area I've been at in 10 years!

BTW, thanks for the responses;
I left in all 6 NGK plugs and went with 75w90 Mobil 1 sythethic for the rear diff. It was a 24mm bolt for both the fill and drain.
