Intake rubber
[do you think i could find somewhere some pretty heavy duty rubber tubing that would be able to be bent, yet still be strong enough?]
YES I'm sure you can. I used to have a honda delsol and people online would find ways to fab up a "cold air" (long intake that goes down near the front fairing) intake with some tubing from motorhome supply stores.
More easy than that, stock under the hood, and made of rubber:
When I had a 91 honda accord it had a big 3in. rubber tube that went from the air filter/silencer boxes to the throttle body.
Instead of buying a FIPK intake tube I just bought a K&N intake filter ($40) and stuck it on the end of the stock rubber tube.
I mention this b/c I too have been thinking about the prospects of performing the isr mod.
I guess I'm lazy but Im going to go check a salvage yard and see if I can find something like it.
