Question about putting turn signals in rear bumper!

I got a set of the rear turn signals from a Land Rover Discovery from a buddy for free; so obviously I have to use them. My question is this, is it possible to make them fit in a 3rd Gen 4runner rear bumper like they would in a Disco? I just don't want to cut out the holes and not be able to fit them; though I guess it would be a pretty good excuse to get a better bumper.

Thanks guys for your insight!

With some good ole American Ingenuity, they'll fit anywhere.

If you wheel hard at all, they will just get broken. Just my opinion.

With the basket that's on top of my rig, nothing can look funny, just mean! Anyway, does anyone know if there is enough room to flush mount a light that is about 2 1/2" deep?

What basket?!

You have to look underneath the bumper and check out your space. The bumper has 3 peices that attach. The mounting from the body to the bumper peices might be the only thing that get in your way. If you can make a nice cut, then I see no reason why you couldn tput the lights in. We did this on my buddies Jeep. It wasn't all that hard. The rubber gasket going around makes the cut look flush and perfect. Just spilice into the wires that go to your normal tail-lights.

Awesome, thanks for your help! The basket isn't on in that picture, but it's a Thule PlayPen with the extension; I still haven't found a practical use for it, but it looks cool.

Thanks again
