Question about newer V6's

Has anyone here had to bring there newer trucks in for repair work they thought was kind of odd for a newer truck. I'm a new poster, but have been to the site a few times and figured someone here may be in the same boat. I just got my 03 TRD back from getting the throttle body replaced becaused it had seized. Ive got 33,000 miles on it and i thought that was kind of odd to need this replaced already. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else here.

i hope this was warranty work and didnt cost you anything... the throttle body should not ever seize...... i have had several cars all with throttle bodies with well over 100k on them and never a problem with throttle bodies....

^^

That would have been the Throttle Position Sensor or the Idle Air Control Valve..

Supposedly they had never heard of such an engine code, or this problem on a new truck. Fortunately is was warranty work.
