Question on 96 tacoma 4x4 steering
I have not been happy with my 1996 tacoma 4x4 steering and I'm curious if others have the same problem as me. When I hit pot holes my steering wheel turns to that side and some times my truck seems to jump to the side when I hit a series of pot holes. I talked to a kid from the newspaper selling a '97 tacoma and he said his did the same thing, but I've never actually driven another tacoma except for a 2003 and it was 'night and day' difference. I put all brand new shocks (monroe sensatrack) less than 1 year ago and it didn't really help the steering out. I do know my tires are getting pretty bad so new ones might help the steering problem a little. By the way, I have checked my ball joints (lower and upper) and they seem fine. Is there anything else I can check myself that could possibly be wrong or is that all older tacomas '96 - '99 may have this problem except for the TRDs? Thanks in advance!
