Project Big Bad Blue

I have been building this 1991 Toyota 4Runner up since April of 2001. It's been a long haul yet fun one. I want your opinions though. Here is what I have done in the following areas.

SUSPENSION:
*Tough Country 4" EZ Ride lift

WHEELS & TIRES:
*Have gone from 30s to 31s to 33s & currently have 35s
*Purchased a 35" spare that is on my roof rack
*Will be going to 35" MTs on black 10X15" rockcrawlers
*Plan to sell off the 35" TXRs & 5 spoke Superior rims

BODY ALTERATIONS:
*Roger Brown/4Crawler 3" body lift
*Bushwacker fenderflares
*ConFerr 60X40 Safari Rack
*GT taillamp blackout kit
*Traded the grey bumpers/mirrors for chrome
*Lund bug guard (smoke)
*Ventshield window visors (smoke)
*Paint to match wiper arms & grill
*Euro grill mesh insert
*Carr light bar
*Installed 3rd brake lamp
*Removed valance
*Chrome grill guard
*Chrome license plate frames
*Removed the smoke tint plate covers, got tired of getting pilled over.

BODY ARMOR:
*Stubbs sliderz
*Tough Country skid plate
*Plan to go w/BadLand Bumpers prerunner bumper & rear bumper

LIGHTING:
*Sylvania's Cool Blue headlamps
*KC offroading lamps on the light bar
*Clear corner lamps
*Clear turn signal lamps
*TrailBlazer back up lamps
*APC blue bulbs for the interior

ENGINE:
*Still the 3.0 but debating a 4.3 swap
*K&N FIPK intake

EXHAUST:
*2.5" tubing after cat
*ProFlo muffler
*Chrome racing tip
*Cat's coming out next week

GEARING:
*Presision Gear 5.29s
*Detroit EZ locker in the rear

INTERIOR:
*Billet style guage cluster cover
*Blue Dashmat
*Tinted windows
*Custom panel below ashtray for lighting switches

SOUND SYSTEM:
*Pioneer Mosfet deck 140 watt det. face w/remote
*Audio Mobile Xblod 1800 watt amp
*Audiovox 100 watt eq
*Audio Mobile 300 watt tweets
*Alpine mids in front
*Audio Mobile 1000 watt 12" Xblod woofer in an enclosed box
*Factory rears still

COMMUNICATIONS:
*40 channel Cobra CB
*3' fire stick

RECOVERY GEAR:
*48" High lift jack
*shovel
*recovery strap

ANTI TICKETING DEVICE:
*Whistler radar detector

REPAIRS:
*front brake job w/rotors $360
*water pump job @ 180K $250
*water pump & all timing acc. job @ 196K $996

Ok so with all of that info I feel I am running out of things to do. What am I missing? I want to wheel my IFS for a while and see what its like with my new gearing & locker so that doesn't count. I want your opinions. Blue

I doubt I would want to know the exact figure. But I have lately been guesstimating $5K to 7K. I save EVERY reciept when I purchase parts though so someday I may add it all up. thanks for the compliment. Blue

BBB - Your truck is pretty much the model for my rig, eventually I would LOVE for mine to be like yours. But yeah, a winch and on-board air would be cool...but like I said before, you have the sweetest 2nd Gen. Once you get those new tires and black wheels its going to kick a$$ !!

Thanks Chris. Your Runner will get there. Takes patience and knowledge. Yotatech is your knowledge being you have plenty of minds to pick for direction in building it up. I couldnt have did it without YT. Blue

I'd get a bumper either TJM or ARB.

Dual ARB lockers.

SAS.

Wow, what a list!
I'd say a front locker and/or winch. Front locker in addition to your rear EZ locker would make a big difference. Then you'd really need a winch

Already got my "readers rides" rig there with pics. Nobody goes there unless their looking to check out other rigs. I needed info into what I should get next and felt spilling the beans on what ive got was useful so I didnt get a list from others to get stuff ive already got. Speaking of laundry why is it that we wash our bathroom towels. Were clean when we get out of the shower/bath and only use them to dry off, so how do they get dirty? LOL Theres your laundry related topic Ceb.
