problems with new clutch?

so some months back i did a number on my clutch playing in the sand. Due to time constraints (the 4runner is my wife's daily dirver) I ended up using a XTD "puck" clutch as a replacement (marlin was 4 weeks back ordered at the time before everyone decides to smite me for using inferior product). Anyways the replacement included getting the flywheel surfaced at the local napa. After the install, I still get slippage or the "squaking sound" I had the stanard shuttering at the very begining but that very quickly went away. The squaking has been going on for 4 months now and happens in 1st and 2nd gear while letting the clutch pedal out. Only after a 3500 mile road trip to Alaska does my wife report that it "might be doing a little better"

does anyone have any experience with this style of clutch. will the noise eventually go away? or am i looking at lesson learned and another gruling drop of the tranny?
