Problems with Manik Brush Guard
Just wondering if anyone has had problems with the powder coating on the Manik brush guards. I have a few bubble spots and on spot that the bubble has flaked off and is now forming a rust spot. I am also having problems with the powder coating looking as though it is wearing away on the headlight guards. The small bars that make up the guards are turning gray and more and more white is showing from underneath. Anyone else have these problems?
I tried calling Manik but after leaving a few voice messages for their warranty dept. and not hearing back I decided to send a letter. We'll see how it goes.

All brushgaurd's powdercoating chips off. They are cheaply done and because of the large size and round structure it makes it worse. If you get nowhere with the warrenty, do what I did.
Take it off and sand it down, clean it real good, make sure the inside is dry, fill the tubes with Great Stuff foam through the drain holes paint the whole thing with Duplcolor bedliner paint, put er' back on.
It works great on many levels, the looks ae up to you.

I noticed a few spots on my Go Rhino brush guard. This was mostly around the welds. I decided to use my Dremel tool to remove the rust. I then used a bottle of black touch-up paint I had bought for my truck to cover the spots.
I think I have the rust temporarily slowed.
I wish I had found Yotatech before I got the guard. I think I would have gotten a TJM instead. I like the brush guard overall, especially since I put driving lights on it, but a TJM would be so much cooler looking and more functional. I may end up getting one eventually.

just like 4x4Lamm said. I say just let it rust and if it gets worse till you cant take it anymore, take it off, sand it, repaint it with a bedliner paint, it'll be stronger against chips foam is a good Idea I think. it's not like brushguards need to be shiny anyways.

yea i have some rust on my westin brush guard. nothing you can do. im leaving it on for a while, letting it get worse!
then ill take it off and either paint or sell it. if i sell it, ill buy a bullbar and remount my fogs.
since my runner came with the brush, whatever money i get for it is profit! i know it retailed new for around $600.
